The Moving Image Lab is a theater development space dedicated to incubating unusual physical and multimedia storytelling. By expanding processes that explore the intersection of visual arts and physical theater, the MIL seeks to inspire, connect, and empower artists to create performance work beyond the confines of traditional forms.
The company is a new collaboration between Brooklyn College’s Performance and Interactive Media Arts and members of Broken Box Mime Theater—Marissa Molnar, Kaija Matīss, Blake Habermann, and myself. Our inaugural production, The Bees Think Their House is On Fire, will premiere at The Tank on May 13th, 2018.
